Recreational Gymnastics

PRESCHOOL

Our 45 minute Preschool class is for potty trained boys and girls ages 3-5.  This classes focuses teaching the fundamentals of gymnastics including body shapes, coordination, strength, and flexibility. Basic skills are introduced for Floor, Bars, Beam, Vault, and Trampoline. 


ADVANCED PRESCHOOL

Our 45 minute Advanced Preschool class is for boys and girls ages 4-5 who have had one year of preschool gymnastics experience.  This classes continues teaching the fundamentals of gymnastics to increase body awareness, coordination, strength, and flexibility. Basic skills are introduced for Floor, Bars, Beam, Vault, and Trampoline. 

Runners

Our Runners class is a 45 minute Parent/Tot class for boys and girls ages 2 to 3 years.  Parents help their children participate in an instructor lead class focused on rolling, climbing, jumping, swinging, and hanging.  These fundamentals are taught through the use of the gymnastics obstacle course, bar and beam sets, and the pit and trampoline areas.

Programs

Children benefit from participating in any sport.  Gymnastics is fun and challenging.  It helps children to develop fundamental skills that can be used in any sport.  It encourages growth in athletic coordination, social development, self-confidence, and perseverance.


Each of our programs is designed to allow students at all levels to enjoy the sport of gymnastics, whether their goal is to compete, or to have fun and get some exercise.   No matter the age or ability level - we have a class that will fit the needs of your child.

Gym Kids

Our 1 hour Gym Kids class is for boys and girls who are in Kindergarten and First Grade (ages 5-6). This class focuses on proper body shapes, correct form, coordination, and building strength and flexibility.  The class will rotate to a few events each week (Floor, Bars, Beam, Vault, and Trampoline) and will work on progressions for building skills on each apparatus. 


Girls 6-8

Our 1 hour Girls 6-8 class is for girls who are in First to Second Graders (ages 6-8). The class will rotate to a few events each week (Floor, Bars, Beam, Vault, and Trampoline) and will work on progressions for building skills on each apparatus. The class focuses on body shapes, correct form, coordination, strength conditioning, and flexibility.  Skill training includes emphasis cartwheels, handstands, forward and backward rolls, back bends, pull overs, back hip circles, and squat on to vaulting table.  Recommended 1x or 2x a week.


Girls 8+

Our 1 1/2 hour Girls 8+ class is for Girls age 8 and up. The class will rotate to a few events each week (Floor, Bars, Beam, Vault, and Trampoline) and focus on progressions for building skills on each apparatus. The class focuses on body shapes, correct form, coordination, strength conditioning, and flexibility. Students will be grouped by ability. Skill training includes beginning level through intermediate level skills round-offs, back walkover, front limber, front and back handsprings, pull over, back hip circle, front-stride circle, front hip circle, cartwheel and handstands on low beam, handstand-flatback, and bounce to handstand on vaulting table.  Recommended 1x or 2x a week.


Boys 6-8

Our 1 hour Boys 6-8 class is for boys who are in First to Second Graders (ages 6-8). The class will rotate to a few events each week (Floor, Parallel Bars, High Bar, Rings, Pommel Horse, Vault, and Trampoline) and focus on progressions for building skills on each apparatus. The class focuses on body shapes, correct form, coordination, strength conditioning, and flexibility.  Skill training includes emphasis on cartwheel, round-off, handstand, forward and backward rolls, pull over, tap swings, mushroom circles, and squat and handstand on vaulting table.  Recommended 1x or 2x a week.


Boys 8+

Our 1 1/2 hour Boys 8+ class is for boys who are Boys age 8 and up. The class will rotate to a few events each week (Floor, Parallel Bars, High Bar, Rings, Pommel Horse, Vault, and Trampoline) and focus on progressions for building skills on each apparatus. The class focuses on body shapes, correct form, coordination, strength conditioning, and flexibility.  Skill training includes beginning level through intermediate level skills including round offs, back handsprings, front handsprings, casting, kips, back hip circles, multiple mushroom circles. pull over, tap swings, and front handsprings vaulting table.  Recommended 1x or 2x a week.
